Fall = Color

If summer is the season of sunlight and star shine, then autumn is the season of color. Leaves change color, and even the sky gets in on the action as the heat and humidity give way to the cool, clear air showing off some unbelievably blue heavens above. Fall is also about hair color, and how you can use it to take your look to the next level.
Beginning with a nod to the season, red tones of all sorts will be big this year either as highlights or full colors. Warm copper incorporates the best of the rose gold trend with a more traditional deep auburn and you can even take further on the spectrum toward a cayenne or paprika shade. As a highlight tone, it’s a great way to warm up darker hair colors for the cool season.
And don’t be shy to embrace the ombre once again. Those warm tips will be a great way to soften a darker base while simultaneously giving a nod to the high contrast roots trend. It will need very little upkeep while bringing a wealth of style.
On the lighter end of things, bronde variations will be key. If you already have a darker blonde tone, adding a glaze will give a softer look to ends suffering from summer sun fading. Bronde is also a perfect choice for curly heads because it brings depth and dimension while blending perfectly with your hair’s natural tones. And the platinum trend shows no sign of letting up as we make the shift to autumn, too. Just be sure to keep it well hydrated during the cooler months when the humidity levels plummet.
